Site Manager - Industrial and Commercial

£40,000 - £55,000 PAYE plus car allowance

Peterborough Mon - Fri 7.30 am - 5.30 pm

A great opportunity to join an established site team is available, starting mid-January 2022. Joining a Tier One contractor who specialise in delivering Industrial, Logistics and Retail Park projects up to £20 million. You will be part of a management team reporting directly to the Project Manager dealing with the client, design teams, subcontractors, and other trades, coordinating all aspects of the works so that the project is completed in line with the requirements, within budget and on time. Ideally, you will have experience on commercial, logistics or industrial build projects with RC Frameworks

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to plan effectively ensuring that the project requirements, specification, design drawings and HSEQ procedures are understood and agreed upon and that a project programme is in place
  • Liaise daily with the site team regarding all planned works & deal with site issues
  • Set up and manage site facilities forming a secure site that adheres to all HSEQ practices
  • Ensuring safety to public, site visitors and staff on-site always and take preventative measures
  • Supervise and manage all site-based operatives, overseeing the quality of work and holding weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Maintain accurate site attendance, induction, toolbox talks, accidents, weekly site records, site safety inspections, plant register records, LOLER / PUWER / scaffold report records
  • Liaising with clients to report progress building strong client relationships
  • Liaising with design team and issuing/monitoring design information
  • Ensuring that as-built drawings are kept, CVI's, RFI's are kept updated
  • Ensure RCL's corporate image is upheld
  • Motivating and supporting the workforce and mentoring trainees
  • Responsible for upkeep and quality of works

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Site Management experience and/or HNC / HND / Degree in Construction Management, SMSTS

CSCS card (MAPS or black card) First Aid. Good leadership skills with an ability to motivate and lead teams are essential.
