Site Manager - Groundwork's/Civils

Up to £60,000 PAYE plus car allowance

Peterborough Mon - Fri 7.30 am - 5.30 pm

Venture Contracts have a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a Main Contractor who specialise in delivering Industrial, Logistics and Retail Park projects up to £20 million. You will be part of a management team reporting directly to the Project Manager dealing with the client, design teams, subcontractors, and other trades, coordinating all aspects of the works.

Phase 2 of the project is building an extension onto an existing Distribution Centre which includes a multi-storey car park. Ideally, you will have experience on large commercial or industrial build projects with RC Frameworks and have groundwork and civils background.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the Project Manager to plan effectively ensuring that the project requirements, specification, design drawings and HSEQ procedures are understood and agreed upon
• Liaise daily with the site team regarding all planned works & deal with site issues
• Set up and manage site facilities forming a secure site that adheres to all HSEQ practices
• Ensuring safety to public, site visitors and staff on-site always and take preventative measures
• Supervise and manage all site-based operatives, overseeing the quality of work and holding weekly subcontractor meetings
• Maintain accurate site attendance, induction, toolbox talks, accidents, weekly site records, site safety inspections, plant register records
• Liaising with clients to report progress building strong client relationships
• Liaising with design team and issuing/monitoring design information
• Ensuring that as-built drawings are kept, CVI's, RFI's are kept updated
• Motivating and supporting the workforce and mentoring trainees
• Responsible for upkeep and quality of works

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Site Management experience and / or HNC / HND / Degree in Construction Management, SMSTS, CSCS card (MAPS or black card) First Aid.
